Have Your Say

Welcome to Riverport Medical Practice

Orchard Site (St Ives), Parkhall Site (Somersham) and Fenstanton Site.

The Practice currently operates a telephone triage system, this means you will be offered a telephone consultation with a clinician before a face to face appointment. Please be assured, face to face consultations will still be offered where clinically appropriate. If you are offered an appointment at the Practice, please remember to wear your face covering or mask. Thank you.

Please note, our Reception team are currently dealing with a large volume of telephone calls. There may be a delay in your call being answered. If you are experiencing a life threatening medical emergency, please hang up and dial 999. For all other queries please hold the line and we will answer your call as soon as we are able to.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Flu Season 2020-21

Please support the Practice by having your flu vaccination administered at one of our surgeries.

How to book?

Flu vaccination appointments should be booked online where possible. Our Reception team are currently dealing with an unprecedented volume of telephone calls, so please use online services where you can.

The NHS app is the easiest way to access online services. This allows you to request repeat prescriptions as well as booking appointments. The NHS App is available now on iOS and Android. To use it you must be aged 13 or over. Information about the NHS app can be found here.

You can also access NHS app services through your computer browser. Please click here for more information.

Appointments are available to book now. All patients aged 65 and above are eligible for a flu vaccination.

2020 Flu Clinics

Do not attend the flu clinic if you have any symptoms of Covid-19, or have been advised to self-isolate.

To facilitate social distancing measures, our flu clinics will operate as a one-way system. As our Parkhall Site is not suitable, we will be holding our Somersham flu clinics at Church Street Health Centre this year. Please remember to wear your face mask to attend the vaccination appointment. Please only attend the flu clinic if you have an appointment, it will not be possible to be seen or vaccinated on the day if you do not have an appointment.

Please note, the site at Church Street is not suitable for wheelchair users or patients who may struggle with stairs.

Church Street Health Centre, 6A Church Street, Somersham, Huntingdon, PE28 3EG

Our St Ives flu clinics will be held at our Orchard Site. This site is accessible and does not have stairs.

Orchard Site, Constable Road, St Ives, Cambridgeshire, PE27 3ER

Coronavirus Practice Update

  • We are currently operating reduced services across the Practice. Please bear with our staff during this time. Face to face consultations will only be offered at the discretion of our clinicians, and to patients who have been triaged for COVID-19. Please only come to the Practice if you have medication to collect, or have been invited to an appointment by a clinician. If you have any urgent queries please telephone our reception team.
  • During this time it is possible that not all our sites will remain open for the usual opening hours.

Doctorlink logo

Riverport Medical Practice would like to invite you to join DoctorLink.

We have been looking at how we can improve access to Practice services; DoctorLink is our new online service where you can access advice and request appointments online.

Sign-up is simple and you can create an account here Register for DoctorLink

For all urgent appointments, we ask that you undertake a symptom assessment through DoctorLink.

The symptom assessment will ask you a number of questions to help to identify your problem.

The outcome of your assessment will direct you to the right treatment, whether emergency care, your GP, nurse or self-care.

If your outcome indicates that an appointment is required at your GP practice, you simply click on the “request an appointment” button.

Once the request has been submitted, you will then be contacted by the Practice Team, to arrange an appointment within the identified timeframe (as outlined in the outcome of your symptom checker).

The information you provide will be shared with our clinical team (where appropriate) and will assist in providing robust information of your problem to the required clinical team member prior to your appointment.

COVID-19 (Coronavirus)

What to do if you have symptoms

Stay at home for 14 days if you or any member of your household have either:

  • a high temperature
  • a new continuous cough
  • loss of sense of taste or smell

This will help to protect others in your community while you are infectious.

Do not go to a GP surgery, pharmacy or hospital.

You do not need to contact NHS 111 to tell them you’re staying at home.

If you need help or advice managing your symptoms, please visit NHS 111 online.
